"Together in Silence - Transforming the World"Contemplative Outreach North West
|
 The
four speakers pictured represented four contemplative traditions: Rabbi Ted
Falcon - Jewish, Bhikkhu Ajahn Sona - Buddhist, Kabir Helminski - Muslim and Fr.
Thomas Keating - Catholic. The day was held in a secluded, serene setting in the
Westside Chapel. The retreat group of approximately 300 persons gathered from 9
AM until 4 PM and shared in an experience beyond words as we entered into a day
of shared silence. Our teachers engaged in interfaith presentations punctuated
by silence before and after each presentation. At days end the group attended a
reception where there was time to share a festive meal and visit with our
teachers and the others. It was an joyous and peace filled day. |
